About Mumma Blue

Mumma Blue, lives on Ngarrindjeri Country and is a proud Barkindji descendent and Queer singer-songwriter, blending rock, folk, country and blues in her music.

As a young child she loved music and often sang with her sister, Lisa Jane. She was the confident one and Mumma Blue was not. Together they found music a necessary ingredient to working through some of life’s most complex challenges.

After losing our Dad suddenly in 2020, it was my sister that encouraged me to return to my roots and start telling my story through music.

And so the Mumma Blue Journey began!

Music has always played an important role in my life and has introduced me to so many beautiful humans, each with their own backgrounds and stories to share. These connections serve as a reminder that, regardless our circumstance, we are not alone in our experience.

My songwriting is a deeply personal reflection, a tapestry woven from my journey as a survivor. For me, music is more than art—it is a tool for healing, a sanctuary for self-discovery, and a beacon of hope. Each song is infused with honesty and vulnerability, inviting listeners to walk alongside me on a path towards healing.

As a storyteller, I am committed to advancing social change, inclusivity, honouring diversity, heritage and belonging. Drawing from my experiences, connecting to my cultural heritage and as an older Queer, I share the significance of self-worth, healthy identity development, and personal growth.

Storytelling is a gift, I hope my music and story show that transformation—both personal and societal—begins with the courage to love, to stand together, and to believe in the worth and dignity of every individual.

I hope listeners feel supported and that, together with love, we can overcome fear and injustice.

“Real deal. Thank you for your beautiful music”

“Thank you for having such a way with words…A beautiful song that will resonate with so many”

It is my goal to release my music on all streaming platforms so you can listen anytime you like. Purchasing merch from my shop and attending live gigs will help me achieve this goal.

The Mumma Blue shop aims to provide merchandise that is made with love, cares for our country and each other and supports others with the same vision and invested interests in humanity, not just here but abroad too.
